If you are arriving by train you walk from the main train station to Kröpcke station. Then change to line 4 (towards Garbsen) or line 5 (towards Stöcken). Both these lines will take you to the library (the "Leibniz Universität" stop) in approx. 8 minutes.
Notice: For travels with the light rail trains (underground), up to the 3. stop after entrance, you get short-distance tickets (Kurzstrecken-Tickets) at all ticket machines on the stations of the Deutsche Bahn (German Railway) and GVH (Hannover's public transport companies).

If you are arriving by plane at Hannover-Langenhagen Airport, first take the suburban train line (S-Bahn) S5 to Hannover main train station, then proceed as described above.
A taxi from the airport to the library takes around 20 minutes.
