Project Description
Linked Heritage is a Best Practice Network (BPN) with the following foci:
I. An increase in searchable Europeana content by three million new entries.
II. Processing of five thematic areas which either further develop already existing techniques from Europeana or eliminate existing problems or obstacles. Demonstrators are to be developed for the following points:
- Linked data
- Persistent identifiers
- Further development of effective metadata standards
- Multilingual thesaurus
- ONIX mapping
The TIB is the content provider (3D models and research data) and will be particularly involved in the areas of metadata and persistent identifiers.
