New impulse for chemistry information

The TIB, GDCh and FIZ Chemie deepen their collaboration

The three institutions in Germany responsible for information provision on chemistry, the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB), the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh) and FIZ Chemie, are expanding their successful collaboration. Dipl.-Math. Uwe Rosemann (Director TIB), Prof. Dr. René Deplanque (CEO of FIZ Chemie) and Prof. Dr. Wolfram Koch (CEO of GDCh) signed a joint statement on the 13th April 2010 in Hannover. The aim is to combine future contributions from the chemistry institutions on the Open Data, Open Access and Open Source areas onto Plattform Chem.de and to develop a joint service provision. This collaboration is already being realised in the first project, a concept study about chemistry’s research data infrastructure.
